ART.NG ARTIST GRANT

ArtNg periodically provides one-time emergency grants to address immediate needs related to extraordinary circumstances and events.

In July 2020, as a response to the Covid-19 crisis, Art.Ng launched grants totaling N1.25M to support visual artists based in Nigeria. The award provides direct support to under-recognized artists 21 years or older. Six artists – Barry Yusufu, Lucky Isaiah, Onyinye Ezennia, Chigozie Obi, Emmanuel Adeyemi and Roanna Tella were selected under this program.

In October 2020, in response to the #EndSars movement against police brutality, ArtNg recognized six photographers who acted as storytellers of that important moment in Nigeria’s history.
